PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed compressor capable of ensuring sealing performance even if welding performance with a closed container is impaired as well as improving sliding performance by forming a main frame of casting. SOLUTION: Since a first stepped member 2a whose outer diameter of a second closed container 1b side is formed larger than that of a first closed container 1a side is disposed on the main frame 2, and a second stepped member 1b1 whose outer diameter of a cover body 1c side is formed smaller than that of a tightly fitting part of the main frame is formed on the second closed container, it is possible to ensure sealing performance of an electric motor chamber 5 and a delivery chamber 4 by the first stepped member disposed on the main frame and the second stepped member disposed on the second closed container, even if the welding performance with the main frame is impaired.
