PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed reciprocating compressor for not rubbing and abrading a piston, not generating sludge, not degrading refrigerating machine oil and stably operable over a long period even when using an HFC refrigerant and a refrigerator using it. SOLUTION: This hermetically sealed compressor housing an electric motor part having a rotary shaft in a sealed container and a reciprocatively compressing part driven by the rotary shaft of this electric motor part and discharging a sucked HFC refrigerant or a refrigerant mainly composed of the HFC refrigerant to the outside of the sealed container by compressing the refrigerant by this reciprocatively compressing part, uses ether lubricating oil as the refrigerating machine oil, and uses the piston by applying anodic oxide coating surface treatment to the reciprocatively compressing part.
