PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and instantaneously discriminate the subcode Q of PMA and the subcode Q of a read-in area. SOLUTION: This optical disk has a data area for recording information signals, read-in and read-out areas provided before and after this data area and a program memory area for temporarily preserving address information required for the direct-read-after write of information signals. To the subcode Q of the read-in area or to the subcode Q of the program memory area, identification information for identifying these subcode Q is applied. The identification information is applied to any one of address(ADR), track number(TNO) and zero(ZERO) comprising the subcode Q of the PMA or read-in area, for example.
