PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus for a self-supporting cable wherein an appearance of a sheath is excellent. SOLUTION: A crosshead 1 wherein a support level and a cable core are let through by being inserted, and the support level and the cable core are commonly covered as well as a sheath 9 formed by being a detruded melting polymer molecule material forming a neck portion 10 is provided. Furthermore, on the downstream side of a cooling water tank 8 of the crosshead 1, a fountain flow generating means 19 for generating fountain flow in cooling water 13 is provided so that bubbles adhered on the surface of the sheath 9 moving in the cooling water 13 are eliminated by the fountain flow.
