PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional telephone set in common use for desktop and wall mount that has required troublesome operations because the handset hold claw has needed attachment/detachment or turning in the case of the selection of a using state or a non-using state. SOLUTION: In the telephone set in common use for desktop and wall mount where a handset mount section 1a of a phone main body 1 is provided with the handset hold claw 3 locking a locking recessed part 2b provided to a handset 2, a claw fitting hole 1c is open in the vicinity of a receiver mount section 1b of the handset mount section 1a, the handset hold claw 3 is retractively fitted to the claw mount hole 1c and the handset hold claw 3 is provided with a lock means that locks the handset hold claw 3 in a using state and a non- using state. Since the using state or the non-using state can be selected by having only to put/take the handset hold claw 3 in/out of the claw mount hole 1c, the operation is facilitated.
