PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band saw type cutting device that can cut a large cutting workpiece. SOLUTION: The band saw type cutting device 10 has an attitude maintaining means 100 for maintaining an attitude of a band saw blade 58. The attitude maintaining means 100 comprises a plurality of swingably connected guide units 102. Each guide unit 102 comprises a guide case 104 and a guide roller 106 rotatably connected to the guide case 104. The band saw blade 58 is maintained in the vertical attitude when the top end is brought into contact with the guide rollers 106.
