STAINLESS STEEL WELDED TUBE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength stainless steel welded tube for suppressing integranular corrosion cracking in a weld heat-affected part by welding heat and a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The tensile residual stress in the circumferential direction of the external surface of the stainless steel welded tube is made <=200 MPa. After a steel strip having the width which is wider by 0.6-2.5% than the perimeter in the middle part of thickness of the welded tube is formed by bending in the width direction and the butt part is welded, the welded tube is manufactured by drawing it so as to be a prescribed diameter with straightening rolls.
