PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce the thickness of a transformer by eliminating the deterioration of stock utilization when the transformer uses a core made of a laminated silicon steel sheet, etc., and, in addition, solving such a problem that the core becomes brittle when a ferrite core is used. SOLUTION: In this transformer in which primary and secondary coils are wound around magnetic cores, a plurality of cylindrical cores 1, through which pipes 2 are passed, are arranged and the primary coil is formed by connecting the ends of the pipes 2 to each other and the secondary coil is formed by repetitively forming zigzag loops of conductors continuously passed through the pipes 2 an arbitrary number of times. The primary coil is formed in such a way that the pipes 2 are connected in parallel with each other by alternately connecting the ends of the pipes 2 to identical poles. In addition, the secondary coil is formed in such a way that the loops are formed by continuously passing double wires through the pipes and connecting both ends of the wires to each other so that the other both ends of the wires may become the starting end and terminating end of the coil.
