PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron shielding material secondarily shapeable as occasion demands, and easily moldable in a large size in a relatively short time without requiring any large-scaled injection device or mixing and dispersing device. SOLUTION: This neutron shielding material is obtained by mixing a neutron absorbable fine powder to metathetic polymerizable cycloolefins followed by polymerization in the presence of a metathetic polymerization catalyst.
