The invention concerns an AC matrix plasma panel comprising a first faceplate or front faceplate bearing a first electrode array Y'1 and a second faceplate or rear faceplate bearing a second electrode array X1, X2, X3. The first and second faceplates being assembled such that the first electrode array is perpendicular to the second electrode array and define a cell matrix, each cell comprising a discharge zone. Furthermore, each electrode Y'1 of the first array is positioned outside the discharge zone of the corresponding cells and each electrode Y'1 of the first array comprises for each cell a projecting part Z1, Z2, Z3 made of conductive material parallel to the corresponding electrode of the second array. The invention is applicable to matrix-type or double-substrate plasma panels. |
