PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat assisted magnetic reproducing device giving sufficient resolution for reproduction even when heat assisted recording is performed by using a multi-particle system film as a recording layer and to provide a magnetic recording medium mounted thereon. SOLUTION: The heat assisted magnetic reproducing device provided with a recording medium having a reproducing layer consisting of a continuous magnetic body with movable magnetic domain walls and the recording layer laminated on the reproducing layer, a heat source for heating the vicinity of a reproducing part of the recording medium and the magnetically reproducing part for magnetically reproducing information recorded in the recording medium is characterized in that the magnetically reproducing part magnetically reproduces magnetic domain walls of the reproducing layer moved to the vicinity of the magnetically reproducing part by heating.
