PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability when a user starts reproduction of the next time after a program is video-recorded on an optical disk. SOLUTION: When a user indicates start of video-recording, a system control section 102 detects a video-recording start point of a recording area of an optical disk 106 according to instruction of start of video-recording, when a pointer indicating a video-recording start point is not recorded, this pointer is recorded in specific recording area of a memory 111 for storing video-recording start point and of an optical disk 106. When start of reproduction is instructed by a user, reproduction of a program starting from the point is started referring to a pointer indicating a video-recording point of specific recording area of the memory 111 for storing video-recording start point or of the optical disk 106.
