PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the errors of signal detection in reproducing digital signals and to realize high-density recording of signals. SOLUTION: The sample data outputted by an analog-to-digital converter 4 is subjected to detection of code levels to respective codes by a code level detector 5. Noise components for respective pieces of the sample data are detected in a noise separating section 6. A delay element 7 delays the output of the noise separating section 6 by as much as sampling intervals. This output is added to the sample data before one sample by an adder 8.
