LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which prevents display unevenness generation due to thermal expansion of a liquid crystal and air bubble generation due to thermal shrinking. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a sealant arranged on the periphery of one substrate to prevent leakage of the liquid crystal, projecting parts made of a film formed on the substrate and the other substrate confronted with the one substrate holding a gap in between and supported by the projecting parts. The projecting parts has >=0.0001 and <=0.003 area occupancy ratio to the region surrounded by the sealant.
