PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection appliance carried at all times, 'safely', 'easily', 'quickly', and 'simply' confirming the leakage of gas emission, and 'safely', 'easily', 'quickly', and 'simply' confirming it even if the gas is leaked in a narrow part. SOLUTION: This inspection appliance is provided with a grip area 100 held by an operator and a gas detecting area 200 provided in the tip side of the grip area 100. The grip area 100 is so provided as to be axially extended/ contracted freely. The tip part of the small-diameter rod member 103 has a mirror bendably attached via two ball joints.
