PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system providing a substitute service for checking a meter to reduce personnel cost required for checking and time required for checking of all the customer's houses. SOLUTION: The communication system provides a substitute service for checking a meter including a customer's terminal 10 connecting to an internet to transmit checking meter information (information of checking meter 13a, 13b and 13c) collected in a checking substitute's terminal 20 which connects to communication network 100 working as internet, the checking substitute's terminal 20 to receive the information, to compile the information by each supplier 3a, 3b, 3c and to transmit the compiled result to supplier's terminal 30a, 30b, 30c respectively, and supplier's terminals 30a, 30b, 30c to receive the compiled result.
