SOLID DISPLACEMENT TYPE ACTUATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid displacement type actuator having a large displacement and making it small. SOLUTION: The solid displacement type actuator 1 is provided with a first displacement body 71 and, a second displacement body 72 which respectively have an active carbon having a large quantity of open pores. The first displacement body 71 expands absorbing minus ions in electrolyte 6 into its open pores and the second displacement body 72 expands adsorbing plus ions in the electrolyte into its open pores. The first displacement body 71 contracts by discharging the adsorbed minus ions from the open pores and the second displacement body 72 contracts by discharging the adsorbed plus ions from the open pores.
