PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction table generating method that can adjust a proper color balance, to provide a generator for a color correction table and a recording medium with a generation processing control program of the color correction table recorded therein. SOLUTION: In the generator for a color correction table to correct a color of an image output device of this invention, first and image output device 30 generates a pattern with a plurality of gradations with respect to number of colors less than element colors used by the image output device. Then a colorimeter 37 measures the color of the generated pattern to acquire colorimetric data, and a color difference calculation section 20f and a linear color correction LUT generating section 20g generate the color correction table on the basis of the acquired colorimetric data.
