PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor image forming device which is miniaturized, is made low-cost and improved in jam processing. SOLUTION: This multicolor image forming device is featured in that the part of image forming means comprising an OPC cartridge 100, a karrusel 102, an intermediate transfer unit 103 and a latent image forming unit 101 is disposed on the upper side of a main transfer part main body of the image forming device, and a recording medium carrying part having a recording medium loading part 107, a pickup mechanism 108, a secondary transfer part 105, a fixing part 106, a paper ejecting roller 106a and an ejected paper loading part 109 is disposed on the upper part of the said image forming means having the OPC cartridge 100, the karrusel 102, the intermediate transfer unit 103 and the latent image forming unit 101.
