PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a color photographic sensitive material in which a desilvering step can rapidly be carried out without impairing image stability and a processing solution is stable and does not cause turbidity during use. SOLUTION: In the processing method, a silver halide color photographic sensitive material is processed with a processing solution containing a heterocyclic compound substituted by a sulfonic acid group or a phosphonic acid group and a mercapto group, an aryl compound or an aliphatic compound, in particular an azole ring, pyrimidine ring or triazine ring compound substituted by a sulfonic acid group and a mercapto group.
