PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette for a lens holder which is capable of surely housing the lens holder with a simple structure and can surely supply the lens holder to a holder supplying mechanism. SOLUTION: The cassette 32 comprises a cassette body 36 which is formed of a cylindrical body opened at both ends and houses the lens holder 2 and an opening/closing mechanism 34. The opening/closing mechanism 34 obstructs the dislodgment of the lens holder 2 from a holder discharge side aperture 37 of the cassette body 36 by normally closing the holder discharge side aperture 37. When the cassette body 36 is mounted at a cassette mounting section 30A, the cassette body is actuated by the member 35, by which the holder discharge side aperture 37 is opened. The top surface of the cassette body 36 is provided with a guide hole 39 for freely slidably holding the lens holder 2.
