PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly acid-resistant and alkali-resistant container for housing a tank that can absorb and shield radiation such as a neutron beam effectively and efficiently for storing radioactive substances, such as spent fuel and high-level radioactive waste even though the container has a simple structure. SOLUTION: A container 4 for housing a tank mixedly including boron consists of a housing container 1, a support lid 2 and a lid 3, all of which are made of a material that is composed by mixing fiber boron, borax and the like in a plastic material and has alkali and acid resistance. Moreover, the container 4 for housing the tank including boron is constituted, by shaping the diameter on the bottom side of the tank housing container 1 is set to a size larger and in a stable form, merging the supporting lid 2 with an opening hole 6 of a certain size in its center with the upper part of the tank housing container 1, whose inside has a constant thickness and which can house a tank 5 stowing the radioactive substances A, and combining the lid 3 which has a small air hole 7 in the center on the upper face and where an engaging protrusion 8, whose diameter is slightly smaller than that of the opening hole 6 in the supporting lid 2, is located in the lower part with the support lid 2.
