PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet storage device capable of preventing generation of a jam caused by paper sheets folded in the process of falling down to a storage part from a carrying passage at the time of delivering paper sheets to the storage part. SOLUTION: A pair of bending assisting members are mounted on both sides nearly at the center of an entrance at the upper part of the paper sheet storage part. The bending assisting members are formed to project inward to keep the shape of paper sheets to be delivered being bent so that the stiffness (rigidity) is provided in the carrying direction by a guide member, etc.
