PURPOSE: A combined indoor/outdoor television receiving antenna, a television receiving antenna, and an automatic receiving method are provided to achieve a high gain in a wide band and improved screen quality of television. CONSTITUTION: A combined indoor/outdoor television receiving antenna(11) comprises a rectangular antenna element formed by bending, in an orthogonal direction, an end of a metal conductor plate having a thickness of 1 to 5mm and a width of 10 to 100mm, wherein the rectangular antenna element has longer sides(1) and shorter sides(2); an insulating gap(3) formed in the portion opposed to one of the longer sides of the antenna element; and a feed box(5), an insulating member, insulating supporting members(7), a pole(8), and pole attachment members(9a,9b). Each of the longer sides of the antenna element has a plane shaped as a regular polyhedron, and one of the longer sides has feed points(4).
