PURPOSE: A method for refilling ink in a cartridge of an ink jet printer is provided to reuse an ink cartridge by making the refilled ink smoothly discharged. CONSTITUTION: Ink is filled through a refill hole of a cartridge(1). A rubber pad(3) having many holes(3') is attached via a double-sided tape. An air supply vessel(5) is fitted to the hole of the rubber pad to supply air into the cartridge. Then, the air in the cartridge is discharged to a lower nozzle, and the residual ink in the cartridge is discharged firstly. By adhering a wet base(6) to a head(1B) of the cartridge, the ink is concentrated in the lower portion of the cartridge. Thus, the refilled ink is discharged smoothly.
