PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main girder jointing construction effective for connecting together main girders having different sectional shapes and a steel shell joint construction for the building frame of a tunnel outer shell portion. SOLUTION: These are for jointing together the first main girders 12 and 13 having flat portions 15 and 18 to next main girders 32 and 33 having flat plate portions 35 and 38 which have flange portions 36 and 39 arranged normal to the end portions of the flat plate portions 35 and 38, the flat plate portions 35 and 38 of the next main girders 32 and 33 are butted to the flat plate portions 15 and 18 of the first main girders 12 and 13, and ribs 40 and 41 for connecting the members described above are arranged between the flange portions 36 and 39 of the next main girders 32 and 33 and the flat plate portions 15 and 18 of the first main girders 12 and 13 in the configuration.
