PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-cost method for definitely reinforce a shear yield strength in a good construction environment for a columnar concrete structural body and a lightweight and easily workable reinforcing device suited to the reinforcement. SOLUTION: In a reinforcing method for a columnar structural body 1 by adhering a reinforcing fiber sheet to a peripheral surface portion 2 of a columnar concrete structural body 1, a penetrated hole 5 having a diameter smaller than the width of a reinforcing fiber sheet 4 penetrating a plane-shaped portion is formed at a position close to the columnar structural body of the plane-shaped portion, a middle portion of the reinforcing fiber sheet is constricted and passed through a penetration hole and, in this state, the columnar structural body is wound around the columnar structural body, and the reinforcing fiber sheet is adhered. The reinforcing fiber sheet having a tape-shape is so arranged to have the reinforcing fibers in a length direction, its compiling fibers are arranged and woven in the width direction, and its tightening rope 8 elongated in the width direction is provided at a proper position in the length direction.
