MULTI-CARRIER COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH SAMPLE RATE PILOT CARRIER AND TIME DIVISION DUPLICATE FRAME RATE PILOT CARRIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that uses a 1st pilot carrier so as to transfer a sample rate between two transmitter-receiver sets VDSL-LT and VDSL-NT (Very-High Speed Digital subscriber Lines-line terminator and Very-High Speed Digital subscriber Lines-network terminator) and uses a 2nd pilot carrier to transfer a time division duplicate frame rate between the two transmitter- receiver sets VDSL-LT and VDSL-NT in a multi-carrier communication system where data are transferred in two ways by means of the time division duplex system. SOLUTION: The 1st pilot carrier has an instantaneous frequency that is equivalent to a fraction of the sample rate of the 1st transmitter-receiver VDSL-LT and is orthogonal to the other carrier used in the multi-carrier communication system. The 2nd pilot carrier has an average frequency that is equivalent to a fraction of the time division duplex frame rate and is also orthogonal to the other carrier used in the multi-carrier communication system. The 2nd pilot carrier differs from the 1st pilot carrier.
