PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventionally a user has had to input the designation of a month each month, to bring about troublesomeness when the user wants to retrieve a person who has his birthday the following month. SOLUTION: The personal information of a plurality of persons, including birthday information, are registered in a database, a screen on which a data is designated as a retrieval condition is displayed, a symbol designating the next month or a symbol designating the last month is inputted in the designated area for month on the screen, the month falling on the designated next month or last month is calculated from the present data, persons of which the month of their birthday fall on the calculated month are retrieved from the database, and the information of the retrieved persons is outputted.
