PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly flexible retrieval such as to perform retrieval from a part, etc., of the text of a song that slightly remains in memory or such as to retrieve a piece of music related to a work flashing into one's mind through feeling, such as 'summer', 'sea' and 'drive'. SOLUTION: This database-retrieving device consists of a 1st database (13), where the song text information of all pieces of music to be a keyword retrieval object is stored; a 2nd database (14) where an optional keyword is stored where associated with any piece of music that has the keyword in the text of a song and is stored in the 1st database; a retrieving means (121) for retrieving a piece of music having a designated keyword, retrieval results selecting means (122 and 123) with which a user can select his desired piece of music from retrieval results; and a selection result storing means (124) for associating the designated keyword with the selected piece of music and storing them in the 2nd database, in response to selection, that is made by the retrieval results selecting means among retrieval results obtained from retrieving the 1st database.
