PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining structure for a road requiring cost for filling soil and the filling work because soil has been fillid in a retaining wall to support asphalt for a road from the under side heretofor, in a retaiuning wall structure for a road in which a plurality of divided bodies composed of concrete moldings are used. SOLUTION: A plurality of divided bodies 2, 2,... composed of concrete moldings provided with gaps 25, 26 between the forward and rearward respective vertical walls 21, 22 are assembled vertically and laterally to construct a retaining wall for a road. The thickness W1 in the depth of the retaining wall upper face 1a is made larger than the thickness W1 in the depth of the retaining wall bottom face, A cover slab 3 made of a concrete molding is laid as the inside of the retaining wall is kept in an empty space. In this way, asphalt for a road can be laid on the retaining wall as the inside of the retaining wall is kept empty.
