PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn splicing apparatus capable of discharging compressed air remaining in a pipe connected to an air ejection pipe into atmosphere through an exhaustion port and accordingly free from the troubles of a conventional tyeing apparatus to hinder the feeding of a sliver into a twister by the discharge of compressed air remaining in the pipe, and enabling the tyeing with a yarn joint having a definite length and high strength. SOLUTION: The tyeing apparatus of a spinning frame has an air ejection pipe 16 for ejecting compressed air in the direction of a sliver introducing port 7c of a twister T to remove a part of the tip end part 6a of the sliver 6 supplied from a front roller 4 by the restart of draft rollers 1, 2 from stopped state. In the above apparatus, the air ejection pipe is connected to a three-way solenoid value V having an exhaustion port 25.
