PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation anode type X-ray tube device capable of actuating a rotation anode type X-ray tube in a short time. SOLUTION: The rotation anode type X-ray tube device is provided with a rotation anode type X-ray tube 12 having a rotation anode 15 in which an anode target layer generating an X-ray is provided on a part and a rotation mechanism 16 which rotatably supports this rotation anode and in which a dynamic pressure type slide bearing using a liquid metal lubricant is formed; and a tubular vessel 11 which accommodates this rotation anode type X-ray tube 12 and in which a cooling medium for cooling the rotation anode type X-ray tube 12 is filled. A heater H for heating the cooling medium is provided.
