PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high resolution for an LD or LED light source for writing having the oscillation wavelength in the range from 400 to 450 nm, keeping high resolution and excellent picture quality, causing no fluctuation in the potential even when repeatedly used, and having excellent mechanical durability by using a charge transfer layer which efficiently transmits monochromatic illumination light in 390 to 460 nm wavelength region, and to provide an electrophotographic method by using the above photoreceptor, an electrophotographic device having the above photoreceptor and a process cartridge to be used for that electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: In the laminated electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer successively formed directly on a conductive supporting body or formed with an intermediate layer interposed, the electrophotographic photoreceptor is irradiated with semiconductor laser light having 400 to 450 nm wavelength as the addressing light, and the charge transfer layer contains at least a polymer type charge transfer material and transmits monochromatic light in 390 to 460 nm wavelength region.
