PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an embossed plate, whereby gloss and design matching the design of a housing material such as a decorative sheet can be improved.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an embossed plate comprises the following steps (1) to (4): a step (1) in which a surface of a document having a three-dimensional surface is imaged and plate manufacturing data 1 is acquired; a step (2) in which a predetermined area of the plate manufacturing data 1 is selected, and plate manufacturing data 2 for design formed by an aggregation of points is created so as to correspond to the predetermined area; a step (3)in which a projecting and recessed shape is formed on a surface of a metal substrate on the basis of the plate manufacturing data 1 and an embossed plate intermediate body is formed; a step (4) in which an etching process is performed in a predetermined area of the embossed intermediate body on the basis of the plate manufacturing data 2, and an embossed plate is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: None
