PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone dust collector of a vacuum cleaner which can collect with centrifugation dust and waste materials or the like in air sucked into the cleaner body through a suction brush. SOLUTION: The dust collector of a vacuum cleaner which is characterized as including a cylinder-shaped cyclone body 11 having a waste material drain 11a formed to have the waste materials centrifuged from inflowing air evacuated, a waste materials receiving pipe 13 for collecting the evacuated waste materials, a base member 15 connected to their lower ends, an air inflowing path 17a for air to flow in connected to their upper ends detachably, a cover 17 having the air exhaust path 17b evacuating the inflowing air, and a backflow preventing means for the waste materials to prevent the backflow of the waste materials collected in the waste material receiving pipe 13 into the cyclone body 11, is provided.
