DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING TENSION OF CABLE FOR PARKING BRAKE IN VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A tension adjuster for a cable of a parking brake in a vehicle is provided to reduce noise, and to control tension of the cable by turning a cable guide bracket with a take-up spring with operating rollers in releasing an operating lever. CONSTITUTION: A restricting plate(4) is installed in a shaft hole of an operating lever(2), and a turning plate(8) is turned around the restricting plate and integrally connected to a cable guide bracket(6). Plural operating chambers(12) are formed between the restricting plate and the turning plate, and narrowed clockwise. Rollers are inserted to operating chambers, and supported elastically with a spring(26). An operating plate(18) is restricted with fitting to a fitting pin(28) in releasing the operating lever, and the rollers are operated with the operating plate. A take-up spring(30) is supported counterclockwise with the cable guide bracket. The rollers are unlocked in releasing the operating lever, and the cable guide bracket is turned with the take-up spring for adjusting tension. The tension of the cable is adjusted precisely without noise.
