PURPOSE: Installation structure of a stopper for a shock absorber is provided to reduce parts and manufacturing process by fixing the stopper directly in a piston rod without additional parts. CONSTITUTION: A stopper(30) of a shock absorber decides stroke of a piston rod(20). The stopper is fitted to the outer periphery of the piston rod, and contacted to a rod guide in moving up and down the piston rod. A damper(32) is installed in the upper part of the stopper to absorb impact and prevent noise. A groove(21) is formed around the piston rod, and the stopper is placed in the groove with fitting the stopper to the piston rod. Protrusions(31) are formed in the inner periphery of the stopper with pressing the stopper, and arranged around the piston rod. The groove is formed around the piston rod, and the stopper is fixed with curling. Parts and process are reduced, and productivity is improved with fixing the stopper in the piston rod.
