PURPOSE: To reduce a memory access delay caused by data write back operation from line buffers to a memory section. CONSTITUTION: When line buffers 17, which hold data read from a memory section 7, do not exist in a plural line buffer section 8, data held in any one of the buffers 17 are copied and the data are temporarily retracted in write back buffers 18. Then, data read from the section 7 are held in the line buffers 17 and the data temporarily retracted in the buffers 18 are written back into the section 7.
