PURPOSE: A tension leveler is provided in which curvature correction of a strip by controlling variables of a work roll is not excessively sensitive in correcting curvature of the strip. CONSTITUTION: In a tension leveler controlling the curvature shape of a strip(5) by moving a work roll(21) which is rotated with being contacted with the strip, the tension leveler comprises a transfer means transferring the work roll which is rotated with being contacted with the strip(5) back and forth along a proceeding direction of the strip, wherein the transferring means is a hydraulic cylinder(100), the hydraulic cylinder is installed so that a stroke of the hydraulic cylinder is expanded or contracted in the proceeding direction of the strip, and the hydraulic cylinder is connected to a frame(29) supporting the work roll, and wherein the tension leveler further comprises an other transfer means vertically moving the work roll(21) to a direction at which the strip is positioned.
