PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage support and a recorder realizing high accuracy recording by reducing vibration of the carriage incident to rotation thereof significantly. SOLUTION: A carriage 1 carrying a recording head 33 is supported to move in the main scanning direction by a main carriage guide shaft 21 at a first bearing section 12 having a circular hole for inserting the main carriage guide shaft 21, and by a sub-carriage guide shaft 22 at a second bearing section 13. The carriage 1 comprises a first means 2 for urging the carriage 1 vertically downward against the main carriage guide shaft 21 at the first bearing section 12, and a second means 3 for urging the carriage 1 vertically downward against the sub-carriage guide shaft 22 at the second bearing section 13. |
