PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater intake joint which reduces its tendency to be clogged with dust, and facilitates cleaning thereof even if it is clogged with dust. SOLUTION: Dust contained in rainwater flowing from an upper down pipe to an opening 4 at an upper edge of an external cylinder of the rainwater intake joint 1, is removed by a filter member 11, and therefore it does not fall into a rainwater reservoir 8. Further, the filter member 11 is formed like a funnel, so that the dust is not deposited on the filter member 11 but discharged from the interior of an internal cylinder 3 via a lower down pipe to the outside. Therefore, only rainwater containing no dust is stored in the rainwater reservoir 8, and then stored via an intake pipe 9 into a rainwater tank. The rainwater intake joint is arranged at a location between the upper down pipe and the lower down pipe by forming a gap therebetween, which facilitates detachment thereof from the down pipes. Therefore, the interior of the intake joint can be easily inspected, and the joint per se can be easily detached, which facilitates cleaning of the joint main body, whereby routine maintenance thereof becomes convenient.
