PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an excavator capable of reducing the amount of unexcavated earth remained and of performing the excavation work easily by, rotating an excavating tool without moving the excavator. SOLUTION: This controller is for the excavator rotating the excavating tool by a hydraulic motor; a cylinder for extending or shrinking a multi-stage telescopic arm is connected to the main hydraulic pump through a switch valve in an extending or shrinking direction, and also the hydraulic motor rotating the excavating tool is connected to the main hydraulic pump through the switch valve for rotating direction by the controller.
