PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a star connector which does not damage its commutator at assembly and does not require a deformation of the commutator. SOLUTION: A star connection wound rotor 20 has a shaft 12, a rotor core 14 which is fitted into the shaft, a commutator 16 which is fitted into the shaft adjacent to the end of the rotor core, a star connector 18 which is fitted into the shaft adjacent to the other end of the rotor and a plurality of coils which are wound around the rotor core and connected to the commutator and the star connector. With this arrangement, a star connection rotor winding 20 is formed.
