PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel composition for external preparation improving a sticky feeling after application, having a refreshing feeling and a moisture retaining property, and a gel composition for external preparation having germicidal, disinfecting action hard to form a skin roughing and having moisture retaining property and protecting function to hair. SOLUTION: This gel composition for external preparation includes 0.001-10 wt.%. of a polymer including a group close to a derivative of phosphorylcholine. The gel composition for external preparation includes 0.001-10 wt.%. of the polymer including the group close to the derivative of phosphorylcholine, 0.1-30 wt.%. of a natural humectant agent or 0.01-10 wt.%. of ceramides or 0.1-30 wt.%. of an aqueous humectant ingredient and 0.01-10 wt.%. of an analog ingredient to the sebum or 0.00i-80 wt.%. of a germicidal disinfectant or 0.1-30 wt.%. of a surfactant based on acylated amino acid.
