PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject detector which can deal with various kinds of frequencies in a wide zone to waves which cause erroneous operations of electronic apparatuses. SOLUTION: This detector for electronic apparatus detects waves which destroy electronic circuits of electronic apparatuses or cause erroneous operations in electronic apparatuses. The detector is constituted by providing a comparison means, a studying means, and a storage means. In this case, the comparison compares an input waveform pattern with a comparison waveform pattern. The studying means changes the comparison waveform pattern based on the input waveform pattern, depending on a comparison result of the comparison means. The storage means renews and stores the comparison waveform pattern which has been changed by the studying means. Also, the comparison means uses the comparison waveform pattern renewed by the studying means for each comparison of respective input waveform patterns.
