PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly, accurately calculate the pressure loss of piping. SOLUTION: In this pressure loss calculating apparatus 10 to be operated by chart calculating software: a chart generation means 20 generates a list chart in which CAD diagram data outputted by a CAD device 80 are correlated to the attribute data of members, and generates a work sheet; a member identifying means 40 reads the members from the list chart, identifies the kinds of the members, writes them into the work sheet, reads variables for calculating the resistance coefficients of the members from a storage means 30 on the basis of the attribute information of the members, and writes them in the work sheet; and a pressure loss calculating means 50 calculates the resistance coefficients of the respective members, the pressure loss, and their totals or the like from the data described in the work sheet and formulas stored in a storage means 60, and writes them in the work sheet.
