2-Akoxy-6-trifluoromethyl- N -(1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidin-2-yl]benzenesulfonamides are prepared by introducing the 2-alkoxy substituent of the benzenesulfonamide ring in the last step by contacting the corresponding 2-fluoro substituted material with the appropriate alkoxide.
