PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read device which enables to improve the operating frequency. SOLUTION: A line L1 is mounted for a group of photodiodes PD1,..., PDk, a line L2 for a group of photodiodes PDk+1,..., PDn as an output line that transmits photodiode signals to the part surrounded with an output circuit H, and either of the lines, L1 and L2, is selected to mount switches S1, S2 for connecting to the output circuit.
