PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items and to miniaturize a stator support structure for a torque converter in the axial direction. SOLUTION: This stator support structure is provided with a first support member 5, a second support member 7, and a one-way clutch main body 8. The first support member 5 is provided with a disk-like first flange section 11 extending outward in the radial direction and a first thrust receiver 13. The second support member 7 is provided with a disk-like second flange section 15 formed by extending part of the inner peripheral section of a stator inward in the radial direction to face the first flange section 11 and a second thrust receiver 17 abutting on the first thrust receiver 13. The one-way clutch main body 8 is arranged between the first flange section 11 and the second flange section 15, and it is applied with a load in the axial direction at locking to prohibit the rotation of the stator only in one direction.
